First things first... It's 3 HOURS long! You get lot's of bang for your buck here.
I received my copy in the mail last week and put it right in the player. I have been watching it in spurts over the last few days. I have to say that Davy Wotton puts it all out there in this one. He has made several excellent fly fishing DVDs that are packed with information. Without a doubt this is the most informative yet. He goes over every material and how to place them on the hook to create soft hackles and wet flies. The clarity of the tying sequences is amazing. It’s like watching it in real life, but only better! You can watch the various procedures over and over again. If you are a beginning fly tyer, watching him use all of the different materials will speed up your tying progression for sure. There are few videos that cater to all audiences. This is surely one of them. I learned a great deal about the properties of different materials. Be sure to pick up a copy. You guys know that my product recommendations are spot on, this is one that you have no excuses not to get! You can e mail Davy directly at davyfly@ozarkmountains.com to obtain your copy.

Thanks for the review Aaron.
Just to put you guys in the picture here a little more.
It took 4 days to shoot this DVD, to be honest we could have added 2 hrs more of content, which would have included more advanced techniques and further how to tie exhibition flies, all be it for 99% of tyers it is practical flies for fishing that matter and that is what l concentrated on for the video.
In context there are 3 fundamental factors so far as fly tying.
The techniques of tying.
Knowledge of materials
How to select and prepare material in proportionate values for the fly being tied.
There are some other issue to take into consideration all be it they are withing the aforementioned 3.
Objectively this DVD covers the 5 main criteria for wet fly, soft hackles and spiders with close up detailed tying of the various techniques that may be used, all be it there are a few others, but here again time became a limitation.
If you are able to accomplish all the techniques shown there are few if any wet fly patterns you will not be able to tie.
If there is any one major issue it is knowing how to select good material from the source you purchase it from. Its only a accomplished tyer that would know what to sell you to produce good flies at the end of the day.
Davy
When will the TPO store get the DVD? If it will be long, I will order straight from Davy. If the tying DVD is as well done as Wet Fly Ways is with the wet fly technique and presentation then it is really something special and worth getting my hands on.
It's up along with all of Davy's other DVD's
