That can be a wonderful stream at times. Did you see many fish surface feeding?
Had to get out of the house today so I took a ride up to the Lehigh Valley and went to go see what the Pohopoco creek looked like. I'd never been there but some friends of mine have and they had a good day. Even though the air temp today was unbearable the creek temp was beautiful. It was actually a bit chilly. So I geared up and jumped in. I started with a tandem brown ant and wiggle nymph but not a bump. I dont know why but I replaced the wiggle nymph with a prince nymph and WHAM I started getting hits. Landed a nice little brookie about 5" and then a couple of rainbows. Both rainbows were about 10 - 11"s. Not much rising and not many others out. Got there about 12 and left at 4. I have to say that this was a real confidence building day!

Very few fish rising. Most were very far away from me. The water was just about as crystal clear as I've ever seen a stream.
Have you ever fished this stream before Aaron?
Rich,
How ya been man? Long time no see. I've been fishing the Po a lot recently (with the exception of this past week that is) and I've been doing very well. I'll be back up there next weekend for a quick pilgrimage, so if you wanna fish, give me a call. I'll probably go up early Sat morning and fish all day. I'm just gonna play it by ear. Glad to hear you're doing well.
Talk to you soon,
Len

Len,
Aren't you up past your bedtime?/
Ouch! ;D I have taken every little opportunity I get to get out and go fishing for a bit (which have been short day trips to far away locales such as the Lehigh valley haha), so that makes late night the best time to get on the computer and how could I live without checking TPO? What kind of a sad existence would that be?![]()

Since this is a tailwater stream the temps are still ok to fish or is it getting too warm? Heading up that way tomorrow (Friday) and trying to see what my options are.
Just to let you know, I made sure that I didn't travel to far away from the damn area. The water was much colder than the streams near me. The trout were very healthy and hit my flies with a vengence. I made sure that I kept them in the water when removing the hooks too. What do you think Aaron?
