Very nice Aaron! Looks like you guys had an awesome day!
On Saturday I guided at the Farmington River in Connecticut. We started off at 6 am to avoid crowding. We were into fish right off the bat! Pete and Bill were hammering them. We caught more than our fair share of trout. They wanted to learn long leader Euro Nymphing techniques and they were not disappointed. We mostly French Nymphed with upstream drifts.
The most successful flies were micro nymphs and caddis larvae. We saw a nice Hendrickson spinner fall in the morning with rising fish. I thought about chaging to dries for a change of pace. They both said, “There’s no reason to fish dries when you are catching them like this!”
Here is what they had to say!

Aaron:
Just wanted to drop you a quick note to express our appreciation for a great fishing trip and learning experience! I know that I speak for us both when I say we are truly impressed. Thanks for holding me up...I didn't realize until I got home how tiered I was all morning. I shouldn't complain, I was lucky enough to catch quite a few fish. Anyway, thanks for putting up with us both.
We are really excited to start French Nymphing. It just does not even compare with what we traditionally know as nymphing. I really hate lead & indicator nymphing and I do it begrudgingly. In one day you have made a couple of converts! I will be back in touch to get your advise on set-ups.
Thanks so much.
Pete & Bill"
And another from Bill
"Aaron, I second Pete’s comments. Also thanks for buffering the heavy water for me when I was uncomfortable. Also I want to formally invite you (and of course Pete) to fish the Batten Kill in NY with this method. After we were done fishing I went back to Up Country and bought some of that indicator material. Will make it up today.
Regards,
Bill"
Here are a few photos...

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

Ill try my best! Hopefully it will be as good this weekend as it was the last one!
Today was good on the SBR. I had a guide trip and we landed a nice 18 inch holdover rainbow along with a bunch of other nice fish!
