how much for the vest?

Hey Aaron,
Sorry, I didn't even realize that you made an offer for the vest. I would have jumped on it, except that I need a medium. For the first time ever, my size was on the clearance rack. I managed to snag the last one in stock, in my size for 118. Now to tackle leaky waders and wading boots. I love new rods and reels, but hate getting new gear. When all is said and done my friends aren't going to recognize me on the water.
Not to bash a company, but I picked the G3 vest largely because of reviews from peers like yourselves. I figure I'd return the favor - I will never buy another William Joseph product again. Technically, they are well designed and look very functional, but I've had a Pack and a Bag both come apart on me. The zippers are cheaply made, and don't hold up to even mild abuse. If you were on the fence about it, I would spend 10% more and get a better, more reputable product.
As a sidenote...there is really alot of overpriced equipment out there. i compared the new simms guide vest to the one i have and the zippers are cheaper and flimsier, the tacking on the pockets is left off on some places where the old one had it and the interior materials are "cheap" in my opinion. its still a good vest but not the equal of what was available ten years back.. Im pretty sure after only a few seasons that vest would need to be replaced. ill hang onto the old vest thanks..for as long as it will hold my gear reasonably.
relocated to the Rockies!
Fishpond Guide Pack all the way! I haven't worn my old vest since I got one, and I am definitely catching more and bigger fish.
love the g3...wasnt sure as it was given as a gift but fell in love with space
