Numbers were over what they were on last year's opening day. Aaron's seminar was great, a lot of good questions came from a mostly older crowd. I was also able to take in George Daniels' Dynamic nymphing seminar which was also pretty good.
This is it guys, people have a chance this weekend to take a ride to Sommersett NJ and see just what this Euro nymphing is about.

What are your thought on how George ties in his flies? All in a row. I went to a workshop of his, I tried tying in the flies that way and I did not have the same success as tags.

Anybody who goes, check out Chris Reeves's vice. It is made by a British engineer and there are very few of them in existence. A simple but. Beautifully functional rotary tying vise.

Chris ties on a LAW vise manufactured by Lawrence Waldron in the UK. You can see the vise and get information on this page put up by Hans Weilenmann:

Well, it definitely seems to work for him. I think I'll stick with what I know for now.

One more day! Then it's back to fishing as usual.
I received a lot of e mails over the last two days. I promise that I will get back to every single one in the next few days. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on that one.
I hope to see a few more of you guys today

Funny I met another guy on the Tully that tied them in all in a row. It just does not seem to work for me.

It was great meeting you today Aaron. I really enjoyed your presentation as well as watching you tie those flies. BTW, what did you say that iridescent ribbing was on the nymphs? If you're ever down in SE PA and wouldn't mind some company on the stream, just let me know.
Thanks again,
Len
I'm 16 and I love the outdoors.

Len,
Of all the people that I spoke to this weekend. I was really excited to meet you and your father. It's not normal, but it should be to see someone your age excited about fly fishing! I am happy that you are having success, and remember, it only gets better... And the fish get bigger too.
It's a Fly D and K product called quill body.
