Taking the kids to the River!

Well, another real hot day and just assumed the fishing would be slow...so took the kids on an entomology field trip to the River! - they had a blast and couldn't believe the variety of bugs we found...

Those kids are having too much fun! Someone needs to tell them that they go back to school soon! Good job taking the kids down to the river. The picture of the river came out really good as well. Did you hook that hellgramite on a line? they are great for the bass. Take them out with spinning rods, have them find the bugs, and then catch a ton of fish!

Ya good idea with those Helgi's....every rock we turned over had a big fat one under it...No wonder this stretch has brought me a few big fish - LOL.

In only about an hour they were picking out Caddis, Mayflys, stone's etc by name! - was a lot of fun, even for me!

After seeing your latest pics, I'm thinking of taking them down to the lower Housatonic and trying for some of those fatass Carp I see hanging out under the bridge. I bet they would eat anything.

    LOL
