went to the south branch today. fished from 515 till about 800. i would say that it is safe to say the hedricksons are done for the year >i only saw a handful of spinners at dark. i worked hard for my 14 trout today. a few more were hooked but they came unbuttoned. the trout are all over the place. they are also very skittish. when you wade in the water they spook everywhere. however... i got a 15 inch WILD brown today!!!! its the highlight of the year for me there. i have caught broodstock over 20 inches but not a wild fish of this size. this river continues to amaze me. it was one of the prettiest browns that i have caught anywhere in the us!! fish were caught on generic mayfly nymphs in sizes 12-14 and olive caddis larvae in size 14. i did see a few caddis making their way up river towards dark. when the caddis get cranking that place is going to be off the hook!! lets pray for some rain so that the water comes up and gets a little dirtier. it will make for less spooky and easier to catch trout... just the way i like it ;D
btw i will try to get the pics up of the bigger ones tomorrow when i am in state college... justin and i are going on another central pa trout massacre!!!

I fished with aaron on the nineth and it was hard than last thursday. Last week there were caddis everywhere and occasional hedricksons with a spinner fall at night. I caught four on the dry right before dark and this week there was no bug activity. Hopefully next thursday will be better
