flyfisher,
you need to get to CT!! I can't believe you haven't gotten to the farmington or the housy, it's a must in my book. Both blue ribbion trout streams, I myself have never fished PA but I'm making a point of it this spring and summer.

Yeah it is the same Redbank Creek It empties into the Allegheny. I live on the start of it. Its a better Smallmouth Stream but the State Stocks it pretty heavy with some nice trout my biggest is a 7 pound rainbow. Most of the Streams are in NW/NC PA.
Fish On!!!

Its hard to leave PA for me i can hit a lot of great streams without out driving more than an hour. Some of the streams on my list are very very good water. I am just not going to say which ones.
Fish On!!!
I don't blame ya Flyfisher, I'm really anxious to try some spots in PA. Probably the major, more popular rivers this summer, and I'll do some more exploring the smaller less known streams next summer.

It is hard to leave your home state when you know a bunch of honey holes. I don't leave VT unless I'm going for steelhead. I have fished all the VT rivers that brookie has on his list. The only river I have not fished on Brookie's list is Deerfield.
Kind of off topic but the Deerfield in Mass is a good river too.

My friends and i used to go camping at Red Bank at a spot off of RT 28 when I was in high school. I remember that the smallmouth fish was pretty good.
