    Arkansas Ice Storm

As of now we are suffering a wicked ice storm. My property looks like a bomb has been dropped.
tree limbs all over the place, and still crashing down.
So far my power lines have escaped.

I got back up, wood fires and propane gas.

If l am off line here for a while it will be due to power outage, and they take a while here to get it back up and running.

I just saw the news for down there. They say some might not have power for up to a week. I hope they get the lights on. I spoke to him on his cell phone and he said the power was out. He has a fire place so he will tough it out and by the looks of it, there's enough wood in that stack!

Good luck Davy. I've been witness to some of those ice storms down there. I was an over the road trucker for 27 years hauling freight to the west coast and produce back to the Jersey and NYC. During the winter months, we ran the "southern routes" back, which was I-10, I-20 and I-40. Got stranded many a time in Arkansas in those ice storms. They get wicked ice down there.

I hated those storms, but it sure was nice during the other months to stop and fish where I wanted and when I wanted.

I just got off the phone with Davy. He said its a damn war zone down there. You can hear trees coming down and that its going to take weeks just to clean up his back yard. There is no power down there and there won't be for a little while as he lives in a very rural area. There is about three inches of ice accumulation down there. I hope they get that mess cleaned up soon, he is going to go insane being stuck inside for so long.
