For our continuing series on Euro nymphing, I add some notes I made pertaining to the presentation specifics.

> The cast
- Water or tension-loaded casting
* Up or up and across
* Establish immediate contact as strikes in fast water are often instantaneous
> Rod angle
- Standard outstretched arm (like you see in pictures) is hard to maintain
- Better to tuck elbow in and lift rod tip to get contact
> Posture
- Rotate body at hips to follow downstream drift
> Drift
- Sighter should follow flies at a speed slightly greater than visible surface foam or bubbles
