I especially like the pink hot spot version. All these variations seem useful. I also did one recently that has a short wing made from one strand of pearl Krystal flash. The small wing turns the fly in to a really discreet pupa style.
Since there was a thread related to tying midges today after seeing Alain's suggestion for a new FOTM I got home and hopped on the vise and got crackin'. Here are three Zebra Midge variations.
I hope you like them.

I also think that this is the first time since the inception of the FOTM that we have been on schedule!

Aaron, in the video you mention copper wire, but it actually looks silver. Am I hallucinating?

Personally i have tied them with copper, silver and gold wire. I am also thinking a chartreuse hot spot might work.
Fish On!!!
BTW, in the hot spot version, the Danville thread color you use is actually called fluorescent red by them, even though the true color is clearly fl. pink. Whatever dye they used on it is really vibrant, almost freaks your eyes out. Minor point, but I thought I should mention it for those seeking the correct color. Wonder what color the Danville fluorescent pink is, maybe red? Lol.

No reason you couldn't use all sorts of different hot spot colors, in addition to chartreuse I'd also try fl. orange, fire orange, fl. yellow and any other bright colors that suit your fancy.
