    The Mighty Musconetcong

From the signs, it appears that fridays are the stocking days for the musky. After this rain, I would like to think that the fish got spread out and fishing should be good for us and bad for the meat fishermen. Hopefully flows go down some by this weekend.

pennsylvania fish and game did lots of research on this topic and they found that the stocked trout moved very little from where they put them in... even witgh higher water flows.

Very interesting. I'd like to see that report if you know where it is.

i read that report and i think its true because trout go into that water and just find big slow pools and deep holes

yeah i have never seen them throwing the fish in the faster water. f and g wants the fish to be caught so why would they put them in places where they have a chance of miking it ??? ???

    Re: The Mighty Musconetcong

The Musky had its grannom hatch in full swing on Sunday. The trees were covered in them. Unfortunately the water was just a bit too high and quick for ideal fishing. Still off-color though, which helps. I recently read some people discussing siltation in the Musky. This is disheartening. Does anyone have any more info on this. As NJ's only "limestoner," it would truly be unfortunate if we lost the weed beds and musky shrimp that fishery provides. How can we organize to SOS?
