Aaron thanks for those flies today, I'm tying up some of those heavy stonefly patterns you gave me. My question for you is how did you get the rubber legs under the tungsten bead like that?

Go to youtube and search trout predator. I did a video of that for a fly of the month a while back. Its really easy to do.

Just a question---How close is this to a Montana Stonefly? If not do you know where I might find the Montana---Google didn't do it.

If you Google search "montana stonefly pattern" you will find all the pictures you need.

In my opinion, the rubber legs is far superior to that fly and a lot easier to make. Their main similarity is the use of the chenille, but the rubber legs has movement that is the key, fish can't help but strike at that trigger!
