    Guides in New Hope, Pa

Looking for guide contacts in New hope for a half or full day... I know nothing about the area or conditions and will be there to go to a wedding. I've got to get away for a little (gotta wear a suit for 3 days in a row :-[). I'm normally a flats guy for bonefish here in the Bahamas but have done a fair share of stream trout fishing.
    Appreciate any help.

http://www.riversflyfishing.com/ i dont know how far you are willing to drive but i am pretty sure that they are less than one hour from where you will be. they offer float trips on the big lehigh river or wade trips to the little schuykill river as well as other rivers in the area. when i met them in somerset they were very knowledgeable about the fly fishing in the area. btw if you want a real treat float the lehigh. really nice western river with good hatches and plenty of fish. i dont think you will be disappointed there. the area that you float has some really pretty water as well as scenery.

You can also contact the guys at www.droltd.com. They're great. Ask to speak with Mark. He can help you out for the area. The shop is about 20 minutes away from New Hope. They guide for trout, but also for shad, stripers, etc. in the Delaware. Stiper fishing in the Delaware should be good about that time. You wouldn't even have to go far from New Hope I don't think. But ask Mark. He's the expert.

Thanks, that's the second reference for Mark. I guess he's the guy.

But if you want to trout fish, I would go with Aaron's recomendation, they will be more familiar with better (and further away) trout streams.

hey frank if you end up wanting to go in nj i can offer you my service as a guide.i can guide in nj but i dont have the pa guiding license. e mail me at the site or pm me and we can make arrangements. we could go to the south branch of the raritan or the pequest. these streams will offer you the chance of catching a good amount of average sized fish with the chance of a larger up to 20" trout. talk to you soon.

If you have Aaron take you out in NJ for trout you will have a sore arm from all the fish you catch. Watch out. Pack icy hot!
