Pequest report 3/24/07

I fished the pequest TCA on Saturday and got one fish it was a rainbow from the fall and it was 15 inches
He took a hare's ear nymph

I was there on Sunday. Wasn't even really working too hard because of the way the river was rushing. Is the water usually that high and fast? Had some good practice with the 11' 5wt. The GF was with me too, she had a blast. Bought her waders in the morning, went there in the afternoon, she had a ball.

Saw a few mayflies... One flew into my neck and of course being the seasoned surf fisherman, I swatted it and flung it away from me... I wish I saw it before I chucked it in the water. I have to retrain the way I think.

I did see two of them flitting their wings on the water. I remembered they had a pinkish tint to their bodies. What were they?

Hey Mike- Nice fish buddy! What's the matter? Couldn't decide which net to bring so decided to bring the both? Or, were you just being extra careful that they didn't get away. Hahaha. Sorry. Just noticed the two nets and thought that was pretty funny.

"The Two Net Kid" nice fish and kudos to getting the GF to go along. My wife thinks trout are her arch rival and chief competitor. lol
