looking for suggestions on some nymph rigs and different ways to fish them any advice is welcome and thanks in advance. i fish a river with alot of pocket water and big rocks and i am wonder about rigs for that and rigs in general.
one of my favorite nymph rigs for pocket water for this time of year is a hopper dropper combo. a bead head prince about 12-14 inches off the back of a bouyant hopper is pretty deadly. one trick i use is to park the hopper on a low sitting boulder and dance the prince a few inches under the surface. just be ready...

long and short line european methods will work best in that water type. indicator methods will catch some fish but the euro methods will bring more fish to the net. learn as much as you can about these methods it will make you abetter angler
euro nymphing always seemed complicated to me but i guess i should learn it i know it is really effective. and the flies always seemed harder to tie to me but it is a skill i should learn.
Hey all I can say is nab up aarons DVD it breaks it down to a simpler science I'm a euro newb but I'm already catching fish that I normally wouldn't had caught! I don't think the flys are all that hard to tie either, if you can tie dry flys you can def do the nymphs we use!
