    Holiday Shopping Ideas under $100

It's again that time of year, and this thread was popular in '07, so let's do it again.

Please list your favorite holiday gift under $100 here. I will start:

    William Joseph InfraRed Thermometer ($39)
I've seen Aaron use this for a while and I love the ease and accuracy. With all the discussions about temperature and DO levels, this seems like an essential item.

    What's your favorite?

      Simms Windstopper Hat

All easy things that I hate spending money on but use over the winter.

    Books:

If I had to pick only one, it would Joe Humphrey's Trout Tactics. What a great book of practical fishing advice.

I read a good review about this new documentary "The Drift"...which is now available for $24.95 plus $5 shipping.....appears to be more fish porn then educational....but its supposed to have excellent cinematogrophy - as the same guy that shot all those Warren Miller Ski films was involved in this.....it travels to various parts of the world - and highlights fly fishing. Don't know if it will be available anywhere but their own website...you can google it.

We should up this one to gifts under a 100 dollars. If they can't splurge for a hundred bucks for some fly fishing stuff for Christmas what are we doing with them!

I second the C&F fly box idea. Great boxes that hold a ton of flies.

Walter.......I just got done watching "Drift". It is purely fish porn, no educational value. Crack open a beer and enjoy. It's well worth it.

65 min. You will see segments on Spey fishing for Deschutes steelhead, saltwater action in Belize and the Bahamas, winter fishing on tailwaters(Green,Bighorn,Frying Pan) and an epic journey to Kashmir, India.
