That one does look good but I think spun deer hair too tight and too nicely trimmed doesn't fish as well as one that are a little more rugged looking. Plus tightly packed heads make the fly a lot more bouyant. Like Aaron, I'm not too good with deer hair either. I fully admit that I suck at it but I haven't had a fish reject my fly but I suck at spinning hair. Too often flies are tyied to look good in the fly bins and thus get sold. Ed schenk once said with his sculpin patterns that he doesn't pack them too densely and trim them too neatly so they vibrate and move a little and look ugly which he originally called his patterns " old ugly "
