yea, don't worry if Loren's site is spotty at the moment, he is in the process of updating it and transferring all of his old material onto the new site. He is definitely a great guy in fly fishing.
I carry all the classic streamer patterns, but they rarely see water. I fish the newer style, galloup-esque streamers, as well as the slumpbuster and wooly bugger.
Sex Dungeon, Butt Monkey, Zoo Cougar, articulated zoo cougar, loren's rat bastard, peanut envy, etc. I"ve yet to catch a fish on an all olive wooly bugger. check out kelly galloup's websie, the slide inn.
Water under the bridge.
No problem DB. If you don't catch anything don't get discouraged. If you get a fish to follow or flash on your fly you now know where he lives. Then you can work on what color or retrieve to get him to strike your next time through.
Go make your own store and site if you want to sell stuff. What you are doing is quite shady and disrespectful to Justin and myself.
Justin already asked that if you are going to sell anything else ask him and he will put it in the TPO store. I see you can't listen.
Daniel
Book a trip with him and don't show up. He likes to do that to other guides... Real scum and TPO in no way gives his "guide" service any credibility nor do we support him in any way. His behavior and sly actions are what fly fishing needs less of.
I cannot speak of anything other than I have experienced with Brandon. Going back a couple months, there was a thread on streamers, and he put me onto the galloup style of streamers. From there, it went into a discussion about fly design, specifically these streamer patterns. He said give me a call, and I did. We talked for about 2 hours and he gave me a lot of insight into their design, as well as fishing them. From there, I watched some videos and did some research, and since I had just begun fly tying, I said, "Hey, would you tie me some streamers?" I did not have the means to buy and waste the material to get them down right, he obliged and the quality is top notch. I would much rather support local individuals instead of companies that produce these flies on a mass level scale. He did not private message me asking if I wanted flies, I contacted him. This batch of flies will be my 2nd batch with him.
I'm not sure what the problem is, nor do I care. I have found many individuals on this site including you, Justin, Tim Y, Brandon, Frank, Magnet, etc who have been extremely helpful, and I chose to support some of these people by ordering flies, leaders, dvds, sighters, etc why not?
This forum is a community, and you are starting to treat it as a dictatorship and I'm not understanding the reasoning behind it. You and Justin have done amazing things, and you have received much support for those things. I will continue to support you in your endeavors, I have an ongoing conversation with you about booking a trip later this year as well, and I can't wait for the new dvd. I will also continue to support the other members on this forum who have helped me.
I will..... I wish I could cast my streamers on 4x. I'm running 12lb Flouro.on the light side and 20lb more often than not. Streamer takes can be vicious. If your casting bigger than #6 I'd personally go heavier. You chance casting the fly right off or loosing that big one from the hook eye wearing on the line during casting. If not check your line........often. Simple bulk Berkley Flouro. or something similar is good here.
