I was lucky enough to score a wedding in Northampton, MA this past week end and that gave me an excuse to spend the 4th on the Farmington before my drive up for the wedding Sunday. Water was high as you all know, so I drove up to Hogback Road and messed around there. Over all it was a very successful day for me, landing about 10 or 12 fish. I actually had ... for the first time ever for me ... take me to my backing! In the lower part of Ovation this bruiser nailed my sulfur and made three different runs. I was fishing a 2wt with 6x and it took me a good long while to bring him to hand. Unfortunately I couldn't net 'em - user error on my part - but it was great.

I also saw an American Bald eagle as well as fighter jet formation fly over .... all in all a pretty good independence day.

Enjoy

Top two are same fish, last one is the Sulfur I caught the "fish of the day" with ... no photo of him though.
