Hey guys,
I am going to to be fishing on the Salmon around Thanksgiving and would welcome any tips on what sections I should fish and what flies or techniques I should use. I am thinking I will do some indicator fishing. Thanks, please send me a PM if people want to remain discreet!

To all: thanks for the kudos.
To Steve (TroutAholic): Actually, it was my fifth time up there, but the first time I landed full grown steelhead. In the past I met with little success, even when fishing bait. Fishing with Aaron changes everything; your confidence, your expectations, and your approach. Quite honestly, on my own, I would have been happy to maybe catch a single one over the whole weekend. Even with his many lessons, I am still many, many trips away from any sort of independent success.
Use any positive adjectives you want, Aaron is an unparalled fishing guide and teacher, period.
Alan you are absolutely right about Aaron. I have never fished the SR with Aaron but I would be willing to bet that if he were a full time guide on the Salmon river you would have to book him at least one year or more in advance.
I hope some day I get the chance to fish with him on the SR.

actually Alan your not such a bad fisherman yourself. I wouldn't mind spending a little time on the river with you either.

I can try to video that. That's a good tip actually! It worked great I might add!
Aaron is the best teacher around. I'm going to give it a run on my own, and Aaron bet me it would be years, I think 5, before I land one on my own. Now I have extra motivation to get one in all by my lonesome.
If I prove him wrong, he has to tie me 500 weighted nymphs so I can get started with the euro nymphing. Right Aaron?
If I can't land one for five years then I have to always drive, write all his reports, and net all his fish. Even in hell!
Thats it.
I gotta go now.
I mean, if Alain can get 'em...
Great report!!
If the line ain't tight, ya ain't doin it right
Hey Juice, My money is on you getting one on the first day within the fist hour or so. After all you have been before and you know some of the best spots.
