man ,trout have to have their bacon and eggs too!
That's for sure you will not find one of those in my fly box.
Some of the guys here on the White use flies of that nature, stocker bashers. or they use them to beat the crap out of Browns when they are on the redds.
Another one they use of called a Y2k. Puff balls.
Just not my way to use stuff like that.

fish on ,I caught a 100 pound sturgon on 20lb test!
I have seen, tied and fished some wild-a$$ed flies before. There are a few in my Steelhead & Salmon box which I wouldn't want to publicly open on the SR---but secretly, (just between you & me---wink,wink) they are the proverbial "killers." Walt Dette would turn over in his grave if he ever saw a few of these Estaz laden fles. 8)

whats the next logical step from here the Yoda grub. The fly is interseting but the name is bad and i would not get caught dead using the fly just for the name alone. If it had too eggs on each side of the worm would it be right to call it the Wormey Leia?
Fish On!!!
Most of us are using the vladi worm and I realize that the vladi is the best anchor fly for its ablity not to get snagged but I don't see this as being anymore ridiculous. How many of us have caught fish on san juan worms or egg patterns so is it really that bad?
I like the fact that the tier used a bead. To get it down a bit.
I don't know. I used glo bugs for the first time last weekend with limited success. No matter what you use, one does have to have some skill in presentation, the equipment to get it in there, ability to read a little water, and if you can create the fly too? Wow, I am stoked. But I am a mere Padawan and easy excited about anything.

When I first saw this fly on the Orvis website, it just looked so goofy I had to tie a few up. I gave some to my girlfriend for her first trip to the Connetquot in Long Island, and no matter what other fly she had on the trout took the EJK. I tried it on the Farmington River at the same time in the late Winter of '08, and immediately caught a pretty 17" hookjawed holdover brown on one of my first casts. I only fished it a couple times, and then kinda forgot about it. I see now that Orvis added a tungsten bead to it, and they offer it in a whole bunch of different colors now. This fly is so gaudy I'm sure many people won't even try it. I'm gonna tie DavyFly up a dozen for his birthday. It's actually one of my girlfriend's favorite flies, right up there with the Vladi Worm.

Ditto. After seeing it in the Orvis magazine, I had to tie some up! :-X We'll see how they perform...

I had to try this fly . I used it today in the Eastern Ct TMA .
I used the EJK as the top fly while short line Czech Nymphing the above pool. I caught this guy at the end of the drift on the wrist flick.
Bacon & Eggs baby! Cracks me up that the fly works, but I'm not suprised- Glo-Bugs & SJ worms are great flies individually, so why not combine them? Nice job. And so the EJK saga continues....
