    Eggi Juan Kenobi

Check the link out for this hybrid pattern:

Looks kinda silly, but I bet it works well. Same idea as an egg-sucking leech.

I'm with nutman on this one. No doubt they will sell a lot and probably catch a few fish too, but I don't think I'd have that in my flybox....unless, of course it turned out to be a real slammer of a pattern. ;D
    I'm not a fisherman. I'm a fishing machine!

This fly reminds me of the San Juan Worm Ball I saw in FR&R.

    I almost forgot...

If you cannot decide between an egg pattern and a San Juan Worm, this makes the choice easy, and you can still add a dropper fly with a regular nymph. Mid Atlantic Fly Fisherman (are they still in business?) had a similar pattern a few years back- it was even simpler, just a Glo-Bug with a strand of ultra chenille out the back, no fancy loops like the Eggi Juan. It is a goofy looking fly though.

This looks like interesting to tie and fish. I am going to tie couple of these tonight but I am going to try to do something else different by using chartuse chinelle with golden nuggent glo bug instead the brown yarn with the cream egg color. I post a pic of it tommorrow.

I'm bumping this one back because Aaron wants to see what DavyFly's reaction is to this pattern. Davy is not a fan of egg-type flies for trout, so this should be interesting. ;D

I was doing well with one of those with a blue egg back in early Jan...haven't used it at all lately since I been using the V-worm a lot...can't get myself to use two worm imitations simultaneously.

Good Lord, I just folded up the Orvis newspaper thing they send and it has the Eggi Juan Kenobi feature in it. I'm looking at it thinking, What the!? .......I set it down and click TPO and BAM 2 Eggi Juan Kenobi sightings back to back!

    What are the odds. ;D
    LOL

    Spooky stuff.

(Somehow I can't picture opening a flybox and showing anybody something I tied called an Eggi Juan Kenobi. You could get your ass kicked on certain PA waters for the fly alone, let alone the name. So if I tie any I'll call mine Ham and eggs, or Weggs or something a little less dorky )
