That's cool that they made it through the winter. Did they stock it yet?
These trout were taken in a DH regs brook...i hooked 5 rainbows and landed 3. They were all over 13 one was 15 inches.

No signs of new stockers, these fish had good markings and regrown fins and faught like dogs....im sure they are from fall stocking.
Those are nice ones. It's good to see them getting through the winter. I wonder how the browns do.
Another fat rainbow from DH brook. This river is scheduled for stocking April 10TH so these truly are holdovers from May 2012...awesone little find!

Started the day off at Bowmans creek C and R Fly fishing only section. The river was still frigid and i didnt budge any fish. I proceeded to go to a new section of the DH brook where i had been doing well and found 2 more nice rainbows. There were many stoneflies and midges on the water. I believe the water temps here were considerably higher than at Bowmans because my feet werent frozen in 5 minutes!
Bowmans creek...yellow stonefly anchor and a march brown dropper. hooked 8 landed 6. 3 browns 2 rainbows and a brookie...too bad we dont have cutthroats around here!
Good report!
Bowmans creek...water was a touch high and a touch off color but still managed 11 fish, mostly little wild browns, with two rainbows. One rainbow was about 15 inches. Again a yellow stonefly anchor but this time used a caddis pupa for dropper. Most were taken on the stonefly.
Nice DB!! You guys had a lot of rain in PA too? The Neversink is spilling over its banks here in Sullivan county!
Fish on!
