    Lackawaxen River

    Fished the Lackawaxen river on Sunday in Rowland. Managed a few fish. Two rainbows and a brookie. Fished caddis larva, crane fly larva, and stonefly nymphs. Wish I could have stayed latter. Fish started rising toward evening. For me the fish seem to be hard to find last two weeks there.

    They release mostly during the week. I know they released on Monday. Not so much on weekends to allow for fishing. But they could release anytime they feel the need to generate power. I know last summer they released a lot on weekend s as well. Made it tough to fish with the high flows. I work Saturdays so I can't make it out there, so the only day I get to fish it is Sunday. Love that river. Caught some nice fish there over the years. Haven't caught any Delaware run rainbows in a while.
