    Montauk Albies

    Went out to Montauk with a buddy of mine. Caught lots of blues, but we were there for the albies. Managed a few each, but based on the number we saw should have done better.

    Hey Aaron,

    Two of the guys I work with have boats so the last few years I have been getting into the salt more and more. They launch out of the CT side and go across so really can only do it on good weather days. He was out today and sent me a text saying the bass were all over the surface but they only found a few sporadic albies.

    Rich was out there this weekend with one of his friends too. His message was that it was epic and he will give me the full report later.

    Tony,

    We have to get Rich up to the Housatonic with the pastries. It will be like the old days! I just got done giving a speech on Lake Ontario steelhead fishing and I was plugging Montauk like it was my job before the presentation.

    Aj,
    If we ferry the boat to Orient from New London it is still like 60 to 70 miles to Montauk I think. The ferry from New London to Montauk is passengers only.
