    Walt's Worm

Stupid question, what is a Walt's Worm and if it is like a crane fly nymph, what size should it be?

I have found pictures, but it looks no different than a muskrat nymph. What is the difference?

A muskrat nymph has a wing case and wings and a tail right?

walt's worm is just dubbing on a hook. You can use it from like a 6 to a 18.

    Re: Walt's Worm

Theoretically, WWorm is to imitate a cranefly larva and a muskat nymph is designed to imitate a cress bug.

With that, usually the WWorm is tied on 2Xlong nymph hooks in sizes 10-18 and Muskrat is tied on shortshank hook in 12 -22. Daiichi 1530 is a good hook for Cress bugs as has a wide gap too.
Both can be tied with plain old dubbing and the WWorm can double as a cress bug in the right size. You can get as fancy as you want, but "just dubbing" works fine. Here is a link to the Muskrat Nymph:
