That is so neat! Great job with your kids Aaron. The expressions on their faces are priceless!
I took my class on the field trip to the Pequest Trout Hatchery. If I said it was amazing it might be an understatement! After the tour of the hatchery we went to the education pond. It was in true TPO style. We whooped them good. Usually, we catch 15-20 today we easily caught over 50! We lost some big ones due to poor equipment but oh well they have some stories to to tell for years to come. There were so many smiles all over the place. Kids that never caught a fish period landed 7 or 8 fish! I will never forget today! School 20 came and conquered! i only have a few pics right now. I will have the rest hopefully tomorrow. I made the mistake of giving a 10 year old my camera... she wore out the battery taking pictures!
A big thank you to HRO and Friends of the Housatonic for donating the money for the bus. This made it possible for these kids to have this experience. Make sure to make donations to this worthwhile non-profit. You will not benefit not only from the trout stocked but knowing that the money goes to worthwhile causes like this!
Here are a few of the fish. Look at the happy kids!

Aaron,
That's a good thing you do, good for you! Thank you Harold and HRO for your support.
Aaron,
Very nice photos, the kids will always remember that day.
Regards,
FK
Wow Aaron, what a way to introduce the kids to something wonderful!
What incredible catches, I would've loved to see the expression on their faces when they felt a fish on the end of the line for the first time. I've only been to the Pequest with you once, but they whooped my catch rates!!!
Thanks for getting them on the water and spending the time, and thanks to Harold, HRO and the new foundation for donating to this special project.
2009 Fish Whistler Champion, "Beads or Bust!"
arron kudos to you for taking the kids out , there not enought kids getting into fishing and we need to get more involed.
Kudos.
We just started a fishing program at the camp my wife and I live on. It never ceases to amaze me how many kids have never, really, never have fished before. We have a pond loaded with blue gills and bass, but the delight is truly rewarding!
I am very impressed. What an undertaking. Again, kudos!
Standing in moving water circulates the soul and quiets the mind.
