    VT rivers report

    Made a run up to southern VT on Saturday. Overall, it was dissapointing. I hit the Black in a put and take area. Fished a couple of really deep holes with both nymphs and streamers, no joy. So I moved up to the Queechee... One nice rainbow nymphing, but overall fish seemed few and far between. Lots of shallow areas on that river!

    Crossed the state to the Mettawee and landed a couple of smallish fish nymphing. I killed them there last year mid-May, so again, I was disappointed with my results. Hendricksons were hatching though. Nice to get out of dodge and fish some new pretty water. Long drive for 3 fish! You never know, though, right?
