I just received one today and am going to be using it this weekend up at the Rapid River. I have the three weight, I figured that I would split thee difference between the 2 and the 4 weights. It's very light in the hand and the action seems good. We will see what happens when it get put through some paces. Will report back after the weekend!

Yes I also got my hands on the thing last night, was very light,.I can already tell u that its gonna cast better than anything out there..sage may have hit a home run with this rod..I have a feeling its gonna cost double that of a greys but it might be worth every penny..

I have an 8.5' Orvis T3, tip flex. I'm a good caster, especially chunking streamers. Am I gonna see a huge improvements with one of these styles of rods? Particularly roll casting, and precision?
I have no problem spending good money on a rod, just is there a huge difference between a $100,300, & 700 dollar rod?
I wouldn't hesitate to spend that on a firearm, but I'm a little more familiar there (ironically 700 bucks is my bottom limit) I'm going to the show in somerset but it just seems like too many variables to figure out with 5 minutes of false casting.

Have a feeling? It's $700... Right around the price of all of Sage's high end rods. I've done it once, and I don't think I can fork over that cash again just for a fly rod. (granted I just did on a pair of skis)

I would have to disagree. It's not overrated. It's easily the front runner in that market right now. It's the lightest most responsive one out there. I have the 3 weight and will be getting the 2 weight soon. Expensive yes, but the performance is there. There is no comparison between the other rods. It is in it's own league.
