    Sidelined by my big toe

I am having a procedure doone on my toe on Wednesday so this Saturday may be my last day on the water for a few weeks. Keep the pictures coming and I will try not to get too jealous. I was thinking that this might be the time to go out and buy my vise.

Cut the thing off and keep fishing. Toes are over rated anyways.

There's no better time to get the vise. Maybe insurance will cover it as post-op therapy.

    Good luck

That sounds like a good idea, I'll have to see if my doc will go for it. He's a fly fisherman too.

what did you have done to your toe?

I've had many ingrown toenail operations done and I've broken every toe at least once with the exception of one.

My feet used to kill me when I got into my waders and dry boots (the pain dulled once the boots got wet and swelled up a bit) so I bought a new pair of better more comfy boots and I have to say it made all the difference. I ended up just giving the old boots away and not even keeping them as spares, that's how bad they hurt.
