    Simms Rivertek Boa wading boots

I picked up a pair of these today in a size 14, AND I LOVE EM! they are one of the most functional boots I have ever worn and the Boa lacing system is very conveniant and it's also backed with a lifetime warranty. Tomorrow I am heading out bright and early for some fat brownies and cutties so I'll let you guys know how they perform when you get them wet. So far I am very impressed with the comfort and quality Simms put into this boot, I could walk around in them all day and the walls and soles are very heavy duty and also backed with the reliable Simms guarantee. I am pretty excited to see how this vibram sole performs and to find out if metal cleets are necessary for a more agressive and grippy tread. I'll let you guys know!

I spent all day fishing in these boots and after 8 hours of being in the river I can honestly say these are my new all time favorite boots. The lacing system performed flawlessly and didn't ever loosen itself. The vibram sole on them was very nice and there wasn'tone time I slipped or even feltlike I could slip. Very comfortable and a joy to wear. Thank you Simms for another awesome product!

I bought a pair last summer. Love these boots!

The lacing system is super convenient. I'm also impressed with the grip the soles have. I have both styles of studs on these, but not sure if I would have needed them. The Vibram sole is super grippy in my opinion. Granted I do not have much mileage on these yet, but I love them anyways.
    TIGHT LINES!

Simms Rivershed or Simms Rivertek Boa, which boot do you guys recommend as I'm looking to get one or the other for the new season. The steel wires how effective are they, I'm worried about breaking the laces on these ahev seen them up close and they look the business alright but just slightly wary of the lacing system. Would you huys recommend sticking to the Rivershed.

Don't worry about the BOA lacing system. Just clean 'em out after each use if you are not using gravel guards. Replacing the dials is a snap and you SHOULD keep a spare set of them.

Ditto that. I just picked up a pair and love them too. They really open up wide to get your foot in easily...the tongue really pulls out far. Also try the new SIMMS AlumiBite studs. Best ever I have tried. They are soft and really grip the rocks, slippery grass, etc. I was told to add a few Simms Hardbite between the AlumiBite for all around super traction. Sounds like a great combo. So sweet. ~magic
