Wild trout! Cool man you were very close to my house when you were coming back. Valley is a nice little creek.
Took a trip down to Valley Creek with Justin today. It was one of the most memorable trips this year, not for the fishing but the location. Major battles of the Revolutionary War took place there
Here are a few of the places we drove by:
The battlefields
The monument
The battlefield for the day!
The Quarry... got some bigger ones but left the camera in the car ???
some trout food.
A pretty good spot!
Some fin!
And believe it or not it's only 15 minutes from here!

Standing in moving water circulates the soul and quiets the mind.

Nice Browns.
The Wissahickon at Valley Green in Fairmount Park? I can show you that Aaron. I used to go running there every day when i lived in Philly. Now I just sit at a desk and get fat! Hahaha. Its mostly put and take. There are nice smallies in there though. Its a beautiful spot. Most days there's no one there fishing. Sometimes you see one or two. Really cool place. When there were Lenape Indians in these parts, they used valley green as the locaiton for tribal councils. We're talking like 1700's here, but still the history of the place and the way it will fill with fog or steam off the stream makes it very eery, but really cool. Edgar Allen Poe, when living in Philly, used to go up to Valley Green, rent a row boat and just float down the river day dreaming in an opium induced stupor. Love that place. In the summer, when the smallie action is good, you can also cool off by jumping off the rocks into Devil's Pool. Its this very deep pool on one of the spring tribs that is crystal clear. Beautiful! And all within the city limits. Thank God for Fairmount Park. Its truly one of the urban wonders of the world.
In the world chief... largest walled city park in the world is in Dublin. They actually have a herd of red deer running around in the park inside the city. Those things make whitetail look docile.
