Aaron and I took a cruise up to the Deposit area yesterday in a driving rain and despite the adverse conditions, we hit 'em pretty good. There were a surprising amount of fishermen out, but no one was catching anything. No one, that is, except for those representing TPO! We even had a fellow from Tennessee aproach us and ask us for stream advice because we were nailing them. We caught many nice trout in the 14 to 17 inch range. All were caught on nymphs and we were laughing because they were eating a fly called "trout crack" which is a southern tailwater fly. I guess a tailwater is a tailwater. We got absolutely drenched to the bone. It rained hard the whole time and after a while it even penetrated our jackets. We finally had to throw in the towel and missed out on the night fishing but there is only so much discomfort we could take. We toughed it out and put the wood to them all day though! TPO represent!
