Its a Loon Light Touch Rod. BlackLabel owns one so he can better tell you about the rod.

Its a decent rod. It has a very slow action well suited for Euro nymphing. The good is you won't find another 10ft rod in the price range and it has the action you want for Euro nymphing. The bad is the rod is very heavy even for a 10ft rod. Once I got used to holding it all day I didn't even notice the weight. All in all I like mine and its become the rod I use 90% of the time I fish.

Yeah thats the one. For the price its a good rod. If you go one size up on the reel and use a cheaper reel it should help it balance.

BLACKGHOST1 uses one all the time too. It is a good budget rod or backup to your primary.

    Re: Euro Nymphing Rod

I bought this rod last July on Alain's recommendation because it fit my budget. I didn't start using it religiously until about mid March of this year and the only complaint I have is the same as BlackLabel said, the rod is heavy especially in the top section, so until you get used to that it does get tiring after about 4 or 5 hours of fishing it. I have no complaints about how it performs while fighting a fish or casting a 2 or three fly setup. Having said that, I now know why these guys buy the top end rods. Alain was kind enough to let me fish with his 11 ft. Loop rod a few weeks ago for about an hour and all I can say is WOW! that is the rod to have for euro-nymphing. I just can't afford it right now but it is on the wish list.
