Okay, so I have begun experimenting with making flyfishing movies.. Currently getting after finding some good fishing film of mine that I have all over my house. My only problem is that I don't know what type of music most people would really enjoy for a fly fishing film. I know that TBD has a techno/house style of music to it and most everybody that I have ask about that music has said they liked it!

But, I personally listen to ALOT of heavy black metal/screamo/punk style music and don't know much about the other styles. My style doesn't fit with the fly fishing stereo type therefore I don't want to put it over my movie.

Was hoping somebody would have some suggestions as to a good group/person that would go with a film... Thanks

I had to get my stepson to tell me what screamo is and personally I'd stay away from this genre. Its your baby though z so make it the way you like it.

i agree with sabo. one thing though. if you intend to post the video on youtube or something like that they can mute the video because of copyright infringement. probly why aeg guys use homegrown music. so if you know someone and can ask permission it would work out best. they will likely apreciate the exposure. im sure you wouldnt have trouble with strangefolk though

I'm a huge O.A.R. fan and I just wrote them to ask permission to use their music in our videos. No problems.

They have muted several of our videos, and rightfully so, so now I am going to use more obscure indie music and music that my friends have recorded.

I really hadn't thought of putting it on Youtube but thats a good point. They have really been cracking down on the music over there huh?

I will look into Strangefolk and the O.A.R. group and see if I like their tunes. Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.

i would say there are some really cool punk bands out there ,with music that would fit a good fought battle .Open your minds boys ,lots of people dont like certain music ,and it is always some stupid debate ,id love to hear some circle jerks ,or some superjoint ritual ,or something in a video ,i got to tell you fighting a good fish, one that runs you into the backing isnt some ,mushy tune, it is punk rock to the max ,it makes my blood run .I get pumped up on the way to the river listening to fast music ,some times i like jazz music ,mix it up man you only live once ,heck some regga would be nice to . Open your minds ,as fly fishermen we need to be opening our minds to evrything and stop the close minded out look of the past ,it is a new day Rock on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
