I haven't specifically targetted them, but my friends that do rely on crayfish patterns & egg flies. Also #8-10 Bonefish type patterns, but in drab colors that match the bottom (browns/olives). Patterns that are tied inverted with bead chain or small dumbell eyes allow you to crawl/hop your flies on the bottom with minimal snagging. I think FK or someone else put up a post with a picture of some Carp Flies in the Warmwater section.

Please let me know if it's works for you.

Last summer I was trying to catch carp on every fly in my box without any luck.

I've always done well on olive and brown woolly buggers when it comes to carp. Suckers seem to like just anything including trout sized nymphs and small streamers. Most of the carp I have caught on the flyrod have been accidental while fishing for trout on the Bighorn and smallmouth on the Juniata in Pa. Sometimes if I see them tailing i'll throw a fly at them but i've never really been "carp" fishing.

I want to try the Passaic by me with the strike indicator and some mulberry pattern... maybe even a real one There are thousands of them all around the trees on the sides of the river. I also know of a few areas where there are tons of them in shallow water.

I also can use some help here in Northern NJ on the Passaic in around summit and new providence. Tried last year sight fishing to them but they seemed very spooky. They never appeared to be feeding and to get a cast in the spot where I located them I believe the saw me. Going to give it another shot this summer.

Tried corn flies, small crab like imitation, PTs and other nymphs and even a blackberry fly. No interest what-so-ever. I think I need to catch them feeding and not spook them!

Nice! Carp there. Yes I think you are absolutely right. If I can see some fish feeding and can get a fly to them without spooking then I should have more success. I guess the key is to find the right spot to pursue them.
