Fly Tying Travel Case

It appears to be I really just like the look of it better. it looks sturdy. It is also a little bigger according to the specs.

Sorry to post this after you've all ready ordered. The best fly tying case I've ever found is a rolling suitcase. There are 1000s to choose from. You can get a hardcase if you desire that level of protection. I use the largest one i could find, but then again I always feel compelled to bring the kitchen sink. They come pretty cheap too especially for the amount of storage possibilities you gain. Just my 2 cents.

Fly Tying cases seem to fall under the small luggage type bag category, and we all know how damn expensive quality luggage is. Fishpond & others make some truly great tying bags, but as mentioned they are expensive for sure- I love the comment about Fishpond has "out simmsed" Simms- a new phrase has been born! Lol.

Quite frankly that's a lot of bucks to carry f/tying gear. I carry my vise and the other basics including some materials in a 15 X 8 X 11 plastic container, with the handle, available online Cabela's or Dick's in their guns department----it it big enough to handle anything I need when traveling. Any Additional materials can be stored in another plastic container. A $20 bill will handle both containers and carry enough materials for my average 10 student class. If you have the bucks then forgive my interruption. I would rather spend that kind of money on a new reel, line, rod supplies etc. But that must be my penurious Scotch ancestry peeking through my kilts and under my sporran

That about what i have been using i just got tierd of that and wanted something new. Sometimes I enjoy fly tying a lot more than fishing so I don't mind spending the money its one of teh joys of being single and being able to.

What I used for a while was an old laptop computer bag, lots of zippers and pockets. If you dont plan on doing requests at the shows, you have more than enough room to carry the required materials for a 1/2 dozen or so patterns. These can be had for free at the least, and under $20.00 new on that popular auction site. CJ
