Anybody "Float" your beads on your leader?

I was thinking this tonight as I was tying some new copper bead head sulphur nymphs that look just like the regular ones without beads...........I'm sure it's not an original idea but I really haven't seen it mentioned anywhere ???I mean somebody has thought of everything by now?)
Why not just carry along a midge box with various sizes and colors of beads and simply slip one on your tippet ahead of the regular unweighted pattern and let gravity and water pressure do it's work and turn your fly into an instant beadhead rather than commit to tying a bunch?

Just the random ramblings of somebody who has been sitting in front of a vise too long tonight and it's 11 degrees outside.
I mean I'm tying sulphurs on Feb 5th. ;D

Interesting thought...Reminds me of a texas rig used a lot in bass fishing.

It is a great idea, l did write a srtilce about some some years ago.
I woulld add that it is best to add a sliding stop knot above the bead, as it can rise way up the leader during casting and may not if that happens get your fly down for the period pf drift.
It will not always slide back down to the head of the fly again.
