Being relatively new to flyfishing...about 2 years,(during which i have spent every dollar and available hour fishing) i have done little traveling to fish new stream except the local little lehigh and stocked streams, but me and a good friend justin have been going all over pa this winter/ recent spring and it has been awesome locating the streams and learning new places. I would tell anyone wanting to find new streams to give it a try and explore as much as possible, u will be surprised how many streams u can find that are loaded with fish and get relatively little pressure especially in the winter. This past weekend we went to south central pa to explore clarks creek, letort springs and yellow breeches. It was a pretty successful weekend, had 20 some fish total and the weather was great. Saturday Clarks creek was really shallow but we managed to pull a few out of the riffles and some slow flats in the morning then went to breeches in the afternoon and fished till dark. using big black stone fly nymphs and als rats we killed'em about 17 fish i think. Also a decent stonefly hatch going on but coudnt get any to rise on my fly. We have been going out just about every other weekend and are planning to continue, next up is going to be falling springs! Just wanted to get the word out about south central pa and how well we did since i dont ever see any posts about those streams, also if anyone wants to know to find them they can we easily located on google maps...just look for the stream names/pa/CRFFO since they all have ffo sections.....if u look at it through the terrain view it shows more of the stream names

Glad to hear you had a good weekend of fishing. Before going to Falling Springs be sure to bring your A game as that place can be really tough. The C and R stretch is all wild fish and they tend to be spooky at best. The delayed harvest stretch is much easier as they put fish in there.

The water there is clear and the stream in the C and R stretch is a classic spring creek with the weeds and gradient.
