The Connecticut Fly Fisherman’s Association Annual Fly Fishing Expo and Banquet

The Connecticut Fly Fisherman’s Association is pleased to announce its

38th. Annual Fly Fishing Expo and Dinner Banquet


on Saturday, February 9, 2008.

Our Honored guest will be Bob Clouser.

The Expo will be open from 9am until 3pm.

There is NO CHARGE for the Expo so bring the entire family. There will be many fly-fishing shops and dealers present at the Expo for your feather shopping and fly tying pleasure.

Our evening Banquet will be: cocktails at 6:30, dinner at 7:00pm. Bob Clouser
will be the Banquet speaker for the evening. There will also be a raffle conducted during the dinner.

Tickets are $39.00 per person.

Both the Expo and banquet will be held at Maneeley’s, 65 Rye Street, S. Windsor,
Ct. 06074. Reservations for the banquet must be made in advance and no later than January 25, 2008.

Checks need to be made out to CFFA and include a copy of the
banquet reservation form which can be printed from out website.

I am sure that Bob CLouser will give a great presentation! I spoke to him on the phone at length one day. He is super knowledgeable and readily shares info! I have taken out clients for bass that he has taken out prior to going out with me and they have shown me some of his techniques.... and they work great! Definitely a must see and for under forty bucks its a good deal!

Bob Clouser is a first class gentleman, I booked a trip on his home river and it rained very heavily that morning. We quit early and he invited me to his home for lunch with the family,,,,,he would not take any money for the trip due to bad weather,,,I insisted that he was in business and shoud be paid,,,not a chance. I purchased enough fly tying supplies and books at his shop to make up some of his lost income for the day.

We have corresponded over the years and I have all of Bob's original patterns in my collection. His son Bob Jr. is also a very accomplished guide and fly tyer. The both have flat bottom aluminum boats with Yamaha jet drives to run the Susky in thin water.

He also has some excellent DVD productions on tying with his close friend Lefty Kreh, worth checking out at HRO.
