anyone look at the littlelhehigh fly shop website. ever see the dons sculpin? it looks like a good fish catcher. i know they took a 7 or 8 pound trout at the little lehigh with it. in is very simple to make and i can see how it would be a fish killer. i have the "official" chenille that thay use at the shop but i am sure you can substitute other colors and make your own variations.

there was a huge firestorm about this on the paflyfish.com forum because he won't give out the pattern. some people have the recipe but won't give it up because he keeps it secret except that he sells a kit with the materials and instructions at expos. Don Douple is the guy. The pattern is supposed to be sweet, but an LL regular has said that darters are the more prevalent baitfish in the LL and in PA in general (confirmed by my independent research). Specifically in the LL you want a darter pattern that is sandy or golden on top, mottled with dark brown, and a white underbelly. they're more slender than sculpin. Clouser has a good pattern. Been trying to find others. I think thunder creek might have one. prolly something with a lead wire weight or dumbell eyes would be money.
