One last trip before i head down south tomorrow.
I took husband and wife Ron and Diana out for a day of fly fishing on the Housy. It was a slow start as i had to teach them how to nymph from scratch! It ended up being a great day! Here are some pictures from throughout the day.
Diana's first trout on a nymph... not a bad start!
Upstream shot of the first spot.
Netting a fine bow for Ron!
We got it!
Ron's locked!
...and locked again!
And again... and no these are not the same fish ;D
The action was hot at this "secret" location
We had many, many ups and some downs like Diana's big tangle
A 1 year holdover brown
The last fish of the day ready for release!
Oh yeah almost forgot. Water temp was 67-69 degrees. The water clarity was about three feet and the flow around 900 cfs give or take.
The good flies were iso nymphs, prince nymphs and brown serendipities.
