Had three hours free last evening to fish. I drove to the SBR hoping to have the same type of action as the week prior. Instead I was "treated" to some slow fishing. In the hour that I fished I hooked six and brought four trout to hand. All the trout were rainbows. I even fished the same spots as last time. There were NO insects hatching what so ever. I saw maybe five cahills and midges. Usually this time of year you see a very good burst of hatching activity at and into dark. I would blame the lack catching trout on the weak hatching activity. Last week there was good hatching activity and the trout were very responsive. The water was not too warm either.
