Guide season has started and the fishing is in full swing! I had two great clients the last few days!

On Saturday we fished the Farmington River in Connecticut. We had a very nice catch of holdover browns from 12-18 inches. Chuck was a very enthusiastic person and did very well, even with the high water. When he booked the trip, he said that he wanted adverse conditions, and that was exactly what he got. I showed him how to pick the right spots in the high water. He Euro nymphed using a leader of about 15-18 feet in length depending on the spot fished.

On Sunday I met up with Joe. We got on the water early and were rewarded with plenty of action. We absolutely hammered them today. He learned some nymhping techniques. He likes to fish saltwater, but I think that with these new skills, we are sure to see him on a trout stream more frequently!
