Tom got to the house at seven and we were on our way. As we got further into the trip we realized that it was going to be a rough go of it weather wise. When we arrived at the stream there was at least 10 inches of new snow on the ground. We went fishless for a little while as we were exploring a section of the stream where we thought those "steelhead" might be. After an hour of casting and not catching we moved to another section and gave the fish a severe case of mouth hurts. We fished one section where we easily landed 3 dozen in under an hour. We had numerous doubles as well. The fish were mostly taken on micro nymphs. I fished a pair of small nymphs on my 9 foot 4 weight BIIX. We fished for a few hours and landed more than enough to make the 5 hours of driving worth it.
