Took a quick jaunt this morning, mostly to look around and catch a few bass.
Started at the Farmington, and measured 69 deg water temp. I measured the temperature in the shade in fast water at 7am. I would think that this afternoon, temps will reach mid 70s. Lots of these insects (golden stoneflies) around, it's a pity the water isn't colder!
I saw a couple of splashy rises from small fish and people were fishing per usual.
Headed west to Cornwall, and measured 73 deg mid-morning. Some of the trout have moved back in to the refuges. Look at this big brown (24in) in the refuge, poor thing, blind in both eyes and very dark:

I don't think this fish will survive for much longer.
Rigged up the 6wt and sinking line to fish bass. Caught six between 8-11in on olive/black bugger.
