With temps finally coming down a little and having 2+ hours of daylight, I checked out the upper stretches of Six Penny Creek within French Creek State park. Pretty small stream, but I thought I would try to fool a few brookies before it got dark. I had the most success by a old abandoned dam. There is a decent size pool left and the brookies were sucking down all and any bugs that came the surface. The water was still very cold which surprised me a little, but the entire stream is pretty well shaded. I tied on a #14 seducer and managed to bring in about 10 brookies. None over 9", but beautiful. Can't think of a better way to end the day.
