    Streamers in the weeds - Fat bluegills!

    So all this talk about poppers got me itchin to go catch a nice Large Mouth. I had about 30 minutes before I went into the office, so I rigged up and decided to start off with a Woolly Bugger.

    I cast out along the weed line, started stripping and got a hit. I thought it was a large mouth or a big perch, because it had pretty good fight. Imagine my surprise when this fatty came up. Thats a big bugger in his mouth!

    That's the biggest Bluegill I ever caught.

    Thanks, I need to get better at snapping pics. I have the WP camera now. Unfortunately I was fishing off a retaining wall and couldn't wet my hands to handle this big boy. So its hard to see the scale on him. But that Bugger is an inch long, so that'll give you some perspective.
