Lbi surf fishing in beach haven

I haven't hit a stream since a morning float trip on the Guadalupe (7/24)but yesterday I pulled four flounder from the surf including a 19" for dinner. Red an white clouser below a speering pattern.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1345125681.093744.jpg

The south side of the inlet is really good for weakfish. The jetties/rockpiles on the inside were where I did some serious damage on weakfish when I used to hang out on LBI. I was absolutely hammered from drinking one night and I caught almost thirty. I was almost falling down it was so bad. Night time with an outgoing tide was always the best.

I would say that's when you don't want to be on a jetty with an out going tide!!

You don't have to do it... But that's when they bite. Some spikes and a headlight are needed. Remember, the greater the risk, the bigger the reward. When I was 10 my grandpa had me out on the Manasquan inlet. The inlet where you are is a walk in the park compared to Shark River and Manasquan, plus you are on the inside. I've been on some jetties in some bad stuff and blew the fish apart. If you're afraid something bad will happen. Just go for it!

Bob far worse than The Dollar Bridge. I'm talking 12 and some shots! I was in my twenties, which equals my prime

I meant drunk on a jetty with an out going tide at night. Hey, I'm 43 and still in my prime! Or so I think.
